Leaves of gold and maroon
Dance from branch to ground.
Footsteps crunch across the layered path,
The morning chill
Coating a thick frost on the grass.
Gobbling turkeys run across the dirt,
Ducks and geese
Glide through the peaceful lake.
The birds fly south across the fading sky,
Their cries echoing into the distance.
The trees, once brimming with life,
Form intricate silhouettes against the sunset.
